If you own an iPhone and you are an AT&T user, you would probably like to stop receiving text-message spam. If that’s so, then you’re in the right place since this article will teach how to block text-message spam on your iPhone. When you receive this kind of a message, you must be very careful and not reply since this will let spammers know that you exist and this will only lead to more messages of this type.

We all know that there’s no “block” option on iPhone, but there are some ways to block the unwanted messages. Here goes the first option:

1. The first thing you will have to do is go to http://mymessages.wireless.att.com/ and create an account. You will receive a verification code and after you’ve entered this code, you will have the possibility to change several message settings.

2. Since your phone has an e-mail address that is yourmobilenumber@txt.att.net and this only makes things easier for spammers, you will now have to check both the “Block all multimedia messages sent to you as email” and “Block all text messages sent to you as email” options.

3. Now click Submit and you should not receive spam messages again.

If you want to receive e-mail messages from certain people but not from others, then you will have to scroll down a little and you will see the so-called blacklists and whitelists. In other words, you will have to get to the Block and Allow lists.

There are spam texts that come from an actual phone number. To report this number to AT&T, you will have to follow the next steps:

1. The first thing to do is to select the text and then tap on Copy.

2. Now you will have to create a text message containing the text you’ve just copied and send it to 7726. This will cost you nothing and you will receive a thank-you message from AT&T. You will then be asked to reply with the phone number of the sender and you will have to do so. And that’s about all!
